Shark Tank #3
Some of the ideas, businesses, or inventions are not just focused on the money. A father came in the Shark Tank and wanted to sell a product called Lifebelt. Lifebelt is an electronic system that goes in any vehicle with seat belts. How it works is it has detectors that are installed in the seat belt and a box that is connected under your dashboard. The box is then connected to the fuse box where the system would get power. The vehicle won't even start unless you have the safety belt securely fastened in and connected. The reason this man wanted to start putting this out on the market is because the number one killer in America is teen car crashes. Most of these deaths are due to not wearing a seat belt. His son will soon get his license, and he wants him to be as sage as possible.
Shark Tank #2
Most people that come in are in desperate need of the shark's money. Some cone in because they have no one else to turn to. In the first episode, a man came in and said that he had spent all of his money, his kids' college funds, had two mortgages, maxed out all of his families' credit cards, and still the Sharks turned him down. His idea was trying to put little, hand-held devices in waiting rooms at the doctor's office. The devices were able to browse the internet, watch TV, show ads, play games, and fill out the paperwork for the front counter.
Shark Tank #1
There are five billionaires who host the show. They invest in local inventor's ideas and products. First the presenter, or the inventor/producer, tells the Sharks what product or idea they have. The Sharks then compete with each other by offering more to the entrepreneur just to get a piece of their idea or invention. Usually the entrepreneur will walk in the Shark Tank with a certain amount of money they want, and then what they are willing to give away to the Sharks who invest in them. The presenter either has to talk to the Sharks into paying up to their offer, or they walk away with nothing.
Dating in the Dark #3
Once they find out their companion is, the show sets them up with a date. After they have been dating in the dark for a day or so, then they are allowed to switch dates, or find someone else. Once they are done finding who they really think is their perfect match, they are allowed to see them with a light only on them. They do this so the person that is in the spotlight doesn't see the other person's reaction. The other person sees them for the first time. They already know all about them, so the show gives them the chance to meet up out on a balcony. They go one at a time, and if you match wants to keep on dating in real life they will meet you there, otherwise they walk out the door and go separate ways.
Dating in the Dark #2
They can invite each other to a date in the dark room over instant messaging on the computer. The point of the show is to pair the people up with the person that they share the most characteristics with or they find each other through dating in the dark. As time goes on, the show brings in sketch artist. These artist sketches what the person thinks their "match" looks like. After that is done, the host takes the drawings and gives them to the other person. So now the guy will know what the girl expects him to look like, or vice versa. The show makes all of them take a survey, and based on the survey, they find out who will most likely be the best for each other. On the survey it asked questions about the type of people they have dated before, their interest, and their values.
Dating in the Dark #1
Dating in the Dark is a reality TV show about single people having the opportunity to meet other singles and not car about their appearance. They can then focus on the important things, like the other person's personality. There are six people, three guys, three girls. They meet at this big house. Men go to one side of the house; women go to the other side. They are not allowed to see each other at all. When everyone has arrived, they all go into a dark room. In the dark room, they stare blankly at nothing while talking to each other. Once that is done, they make the men go back to their side of the house, and take off their shirts. They then give the shirts to the women to smell, and judge them by their scent. This show is kind of weird. The girls had to do the same thing.
Movie Blog-Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
Overall, I think this movie is two thumbs up. I enjoyed all of the action, and the special effects. It's about 2.5 hours long, and keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time. Although there were more fighting scenes and lots of robot fighting, the dialog was lacking. There wasn't a great plot, or a true point to the movie that the audience could hold on to.
Revenge of the Fallen is about a teenage boy, named Sam, going off to college. When he goes off to college he is leaving his girl friend, and his car, Bumble Bee. Bumble Bee is a transformer. As seen in the first movie, transformers are cars or any other electronic/mechanical item that can change into robots. Once Sam goes to college he starts seeing symbols. There are tow sides, the Decepticons and the Autobots. Autobots are the good guys, and Decepticons are the bad guys. During the entire movie, Decepticons are trying to find Sam, who has been seeing the Cybertronian symbols. The bad guys have reason to believe the symbols may lead to a device that could bring "The Fallen One" back. Once the Decepticons find the device, they would make "The Fallen One" come alive, who would then tell them where the machine is. The machine is capable of supplying an energy source for the Decepticons on Earth, which would destroy it in the process.
Comparing this movie to the old one, Revenge of The Fallen has more action, but lacks an overall story. The second one makes up for this in more action, robots, and overall appeal.

Article #4 Hudson Divers Seek 2 Victims, Hope to Raise Plane
Divers are hoping to find the two bodies one of a pilot, and one of a weekender from a terrible crash. The collision of the two aircraft killed 11 people. The small plane was occupied by a pilot, teenager, and an adult. While the tourist helicopter was occupied by a pilot, and eight vacationers from Italy, the vacation to Manhattan was a present from one of the Italian's sister. Investigators and divers are still trying to find the two missing bodies, but they are sure they are very close. After they used an Army Corps of Engineers crane to lift the helicopter out of the water, they are still in search of the plane but found parts nearby.
Article #3 Salvage yards claim their place in clunkers program
As the Cash for Clunkers program is not only benefiting car drivers, but it is also gives salvage yards another job. With this program, car dealers sell the "clunkers" to junk yards usually for $95 to $150. Although the junk yards can't re-sell the engine they can use, or sell, everything else on the vehicle. The reason they can't sell the engines is the car dealership must destroy them by pouring sodium silicate into the engine while it is running. The sodium silicate is a chemical that turns into glass, which prevents the engine from ever working again. Many junk yards are taking every bit of this program to their benefit, and although it helps them, it hurts the car dealerships.

Newspaper Article #2 Statue committee scratches one artist off its list
After Civil War statue on the courthouse lawn fell, and shattered, the committee wants a new one. Along with a new statue, the committee also wants a new artist. To make the statue as perfect as possible, some of the committee members traveled to Chicago for ideas and a new artist. Everyone on the statue committee, as a whole, voted to "eliminate the artist from consideration because he was deemed not to be a good fit for the project". While they are trying to figure out the next move, time is running out, and so is the opportunity to apply for grants. Although they received a few donations during the Co. Fair, the committee is still short. They will meet again at 7 p.m. Aug. 24 at the Logan County Genealogical and Historical Society research center.

Newspaper Article #1-Investigators stop taking evidence at desecrated Chicago cemetery By Don Babwin
Once investigators stop the investigation on a historic black cemetery in Chicago, they finally realize they have no where to go after collecting most the abandoned bones, coffins, and other belongings to the dead. After the owners of the cemetery, and the grounds keepers were arrested, the sheriff Tom Dart shut down the cemetery to the public weeks ago. He also made it a crime scene. Among the 100,000 people buried at the historic cemetery, Emmett Till, boxer Ezzard Charles, and blues singers Dinah Washington and Willie Dixon. Sheriff Tom Dart is planning on re-opening the cemetery very soon.
